Workshop Overview
Become a Partner in Prevention
Attend our HIV masterclass!
Partners in Prevention provides one workshop multiple times a year, upon request. Partners in Prevention covers current biomedical interventions such as:
PrEP: PreExposure Prophylaxis, a daily pill that can help protect you from contracting HIV.
U=U: Undetectable equals Untransmissible means people with HIV who achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load—the amount of HIV in the blood—cannot sexually transmit the virus to others.
The workshop also covers HIV testing devices, stigma, support services available in the community, and how to share what you’ve learned with others.
Upon completing the workshop, your business/location will be able to receive a branded “I Got Mine!” condom dispenser, which we will restock regularly. You will be listed at http://igotminekc.org as an HIV & STI prevention resource for the Kansas City community.
Are you a gatekeeper? Do you know a gatekeeper in your community? Refer yourself or them to become a Partner in Prevention by emailing pip@kccare.org or text 816.226.8091. Schedule your workshop today!
